Sort of Sunrise Service

First of all, Praise the Lord for He is Risen! Happy Easter everyone! I hope that you all have a wonderful day celebrating.

This morning our church ran an extra service at 7am because Easter weekend is so busy. Feeling adventurous (ok, not really adventurous) we decided it would be fun. We showed up at church at 6:55 to tons of smilling people, a beautiful stage decorated in bright yellows, and the worship team playing celebratory music! It was a wonderful service!!!

And then we went back outside to the torential downpour :)

The storm

As I mentioned before, I was in the calm before the storm. I'm now in the storm and counting the days (see my facebook page - I have a countdown there) until this stupid paper is handed in! It is a seriously long and painful paper that just doesn't seem to be worth enough marks to care!

The good news is that the end of the semester is within sight! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Now, all that being said, I must also admit that I think that I am sick in the head. During some of my studying when I want to procrastinate I sometimes surf the net. The sick part is that I was looking at grad schools the other day! I seriously must be a glutton for punishment!

Calm before the storm

I got a bunch of homework done today and I'm now contemplating what to do for the evening. I don't really have anything pressing to do at the moment.... an odd position to be in with this program. I know that this will all be over as of Thursday, and that I should work ahead on some reading..... should is the key word there.

Instead, I think that I may take the evening off!

Early B-day

Due to the insanity of my school schedule, and that my b-day falls on a wednesday, I celebrated early with my family. On Friday night, after a delish dinner prepared by my sister, Jackie, Dave, Dad, Phil and I trecked down to a Giants game. The drive there was an adventure (the freeway simply wasn't moving) but we eventually made it. Although the Giants lost, we had a fun time watching the game. And, as an added bonus, I got to see my friend Becca from TWU who I haven't seen in a while. She is the games coordinator for the Giants.

Yesterday I celebrated with my mum. Since they were all coming here, and Phil didn't want me to have to make my own b-day dinner, we decided on breakfast for dinner since Phil is REALLY good at making breakfast. We loaded the table with french toast, bacon, fruit and juice! Yummy!!! We hung out for the evening and spent a lot of time simply watching my niece run in circles around the house and wondering where on earth does she get the energy????
