Our supposed moving day

Today is the day that we were supposed to close on the sale of our current house and the purchase of our new house. Alas, we are still waiting on paperwork. It might all close late next week, but realistically, I'm guessing that it will be the week after that. In the meantime, I have to be patient (reallly not my forte).
At least I have a lot of studying to keep me busy so that the time will go by quickly. BTW - this quarter is kicking my butt!!!!

House Update

I've been somewhat negligent in posting the past week because I was waiting until we knew for sure.....but alas, we still do not.

So, our house deal looks like it's going to go through, but we are not for sure yet. Our buyers are having trouble with their financing. Last week a major part of it was approved (which was incredible!!!) but there are still a few more small hoops to jump through. We will have to extend our closing date to sometime next week (hopefully).

As soon as I know when we are actually moving, I'll let you know!

"Family news"

My friend Shawna wrote a comment referring to "family news" that she had heard. There is family news, but not for us. My sister Jackie is pregnant with her second! Yay!!! We are so excited for them and for Emmalea to have a baby brother or sister.

Not much is new

I realized that I haven't posted in a few days so I thought that I should put something up here. Not much is new - just the same old study, study, study. I've got my first A&P test tonight and I will be so happy when that is done! Then my friend Nikki is getting married this weekend! Yay!!!!

PS - Congrats to Shawna & Paul and their pregnancy!

Pray for the Princess

I got a call on Wednesday night from my sister saying that Emmalea was being admited to the hospital for pneumonia!!!! She had been sick for a few days and had a temperature of 105! So yesterday Phil and I both took off from work and went up to the hospital to surprise them. Jackie was at home catching a few hours of sleep, so we hung out with Dave and Emmalea.

My precious little niece who is normally so happy and active just layed there the whole time. And every time she coughed or cried it was so pathetic it just made me want to cry!!! Poor little girl!

Mum went to see her last night and she was sitting up and doing a bit better. They will still be in the hospital for a few days though so please pray that she gets better quickly!

Photos of Nikki's Bachelorette Party

OK - so here are the photos from my fun weekend!
Nikki & I before we headed downtown.
We got Nikki all dressed up and ready to go!

Walking down Robson - she got SO many stares!!! It was great!

There was a random hula hoop contest going on in front of the Art Gallery, so of course we made Nikki participate! She actually did pretty well....maybe it was the boustier?

Another classic Nikki/Nickie photo!

Nikki and Erin dancing the night away!

Carrie and Missy posting with Gorgeous Gavin who was Nikki's date for the night!

I got to dance!

Last weekend I went to a bachelorette party to celebrate my dear friend Nikki and her upcoming wedding! Her maid of honor Missy put on an amazing party! We started with brunch and a lingerie shower. Then we dressed Nikki up and headed downtown! We paraded her up and down Robson Street with a blue boustier/corset and thong on over her clothes, and of course, a veil! We got so many stares it was hilarious! We then packed 15 girls into a suite at the Hotel Vancouver for drinks and to get ready to go out for dinner (don't worry - only 9 of us actually spent the night in there!). We went to an Irish pub for dinner, then out for some dancing!

I haven't been out dancing for 3 years (since Taiwan) and I was so excited to go!!! Most of the girls hadn't been in a while so we got dressed up and put on fun shoes. We looked great, but we payed for it by the end of the night! We walked everywhere when we were downtown, plus went dancing, so by the end of the night, we were LIMPING back to the hotel! I don't think that my feet have ever hurt that bad!!! But it was worth it to have such a great time!

I'll load up pictures later.
