Graduation

Well, he is finally done!!! OK, so he was done a month ago, but I'm posting about it now! On Saturday August 19th, Phil graduated from WWU with his MBA!!! I'm so unbelievably proud of him! And to make the whole experience a little more incredible, he was asked to give the commencement address at the ceremonies. He did a great job with his speech and I, of course, was bawling through half the ceremony!!

We had a great weekend of parties to celebrate graduation. A party for all the students at our place on Friday night, graduation ceremonies Saturday morning, a dinner cruise with the students on Saturday night and a party for family and friends on Sunday. Very busy weekend!

In order to host those parties, we of course needed a deck. So starting on Sunday, Phil and his Dad worked insane hours to build our huge new deck! And they managed to finish it Friday afternoon - a few hours before our guests arrived!

Life has flown by since then. We went down to Seattle for a night on Labor Day weekend, we've both been busy at work and I've started taking a class at Whatcom Community College. We celebrated my sister's birthday with a surprise party, celebrated that she and Dave bought their own place, plus celebrated my niece's first birthday. Lots of celebrating going on here!

Phil has also been busy with his new hobby - golf. And as with most things that he does, he is very focused and driven, going to the driving range pretty much every day!

Hopefully I'll post again soon! :)
